These terms are in effect and govern your CarteCasa membership, including the 30-day free trial and the $99/month automatically renewing subscription that follows it unless you cancel. They are not legal, financial, tax, mortgage, or real-estate brokerage advice. CarteCasa is a membership platform that connects you with participating licensed agents — it is not a real estate brokerage.
Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and who processes it when you use CarteCasa.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how CarteCasa LLC ("CarteCasa," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the CarteCasa platform.
2. Information we collect
Account and identity information you provide: your name, email address, and phone number. Authentication information: sign-in records, the secure (hashed) form of your password, single-use password-reset tokens, and — if you sign in with Google — your Google account identifier. Showing-request information: property addresses, listing links, preferred times, and any notes you submit. Payment information: when you start a membership, your payment details are collected and processed by our payment processor (Stripe); CarteCasa does not store full card numbers. Usage and device information may include basic analytics and logs generated when you use the platform.
3. How we use information
We use your information to provide and operate the platform, coordinate showing requests with participating agents, process membership payments and renewals, send transactional emails such as billing confirmations, provide support, maintain security, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations.
4. How information is shared
We share information with service providers that process data on our behalf, and with participating agents only as needed to coordinate the showings you request. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Service providers
We rely on service providers including Stripe for payment processing and billing, Resend for transactional email delivery, Vercel for application hosting, and Neon for database hosting. Each processes personal information under its own terms and security practices.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the platform, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain security, after which we delete or de-identify it where appropriate.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and state privacy rights
You may request access to or correction of your account information, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional privacy rights. CarteCasa membership is offered to Illinois residents.
9. Electronic communications and consent
By using the platform you consent to receive account, billing, and transactional communications electronically. Marketing emails, if any, will include an unsubscribe option and will be sent only where permitted. CarteCasa does not use SMS for marketing or notifications unless you separately opt in to a future SMS program.
10. Children
The platform is not directed to children and is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy and will post the updated version with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in the product where appropriate.
